How to activate your physical Melon SIM

Once you have RICA’d you’ll be sent back to the Home Screen. Select “SIM Validation” to begin.

Every physical SIM has a unique 10-digit SIM number just below the bar code. Enter that number in the block that says “SIM Number”

You’ll be sent back to the Melon App home screen where you’ll be asked to:
- Insert your physical Melon SIM into your phone.
- Turn aeroplane mode on and then then switch it off.

You will receive a text from us with your new Melon number.
How to activate your Melon eSIM

Jump onto the Melon App to Download your eSIM.

Click on the “Activate your eSIM” tile.

If your device has the “Quick Install” button, simply click it and follow the steps to install and activate your eSIM.
If not, use the unique barcode generated for you.
Click on “Share QR Code”. A QR code will be sent to an email you provide. You will need to scan the code with your device later in the process.
Follow the steps for your device below.
(Remember, the bar code you will need to scan is on the App).
For IOS devices
- Go to “Settings” and select “Cellular” or “Mobile Data”
- Select “Add Cellular Plan”
- Follow the steps to scan QR code and to install the profile.
- Profile will automatically be downloaded and installed to the device. eSIM will then be registered on the device and mobile services will be available.
For Android devices
- Select “SIM Management”
- Click on “Add eSIM”
- Follow the steps to scan QR code and to install the profile.
- Profile will automatically be downloaded and installed to the device. eSIM will then be registered on the device and mobile services will be available.
Your Melon eSIM is now ready to be used.
Here's a Melon Tip: to avoid confusion, please name your eSIM "Melon SIM".
